Deluxe Mech Works

Deluxe Mech Works is over in Sector 22. We are at number 3 Sherpur Khurd. It's not hard to find if you know where Dushmesh Market is. We've been fixing things here for a long time. The shop has tools everywhere and grease on most of the surfaces. That’s just how it goes with mechanical work. You can’t really keep a place like this spotless if you’re actually doing anything. The neighbors are mostly other shops and people going to the market. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It gets hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't the greatest, so we keep the doors wide open. Sometimes the sector gets crowded with parked cars and it’s a bit of a squeeze to get through. We just focus on the job at hand. People bring us their machines and we look at them. No big speeches or fancy promises. We just work until the sun sets. The building itself is older, with some cracks in the walls, but it holds up. We have a small desk for the paperwork but most of the time is spent on our feet. It's a steady life here at Sherpur Khurd. Sometimes the local kids play out front in the evening. We keep some old rags around to wipe our hands before we touch the phone. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. The noise from the market is just background music to us now.
