D. S. Lotey Mech. Works

You can find D. S. Lotey Mech. Works at 2801, Street Number 6, in Chet Singh Nagar. We are just off Gill Road. We’ve been in this same spot for a very long time now. It’s a family business, and we’ve all grown up around the machines. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with metal scraps and oil on the floor. We do a lot of mechanical work, mostly making parts or fixing things that have broken down. It’s loud in here because the lathes and drills are almost always running. We don't have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most of our customers just drop off their stuff and come back later when it’s finished. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write nice things about us. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for years and people know we do the work. Chet Singh Nagar is full of shops like ours, so we know all our neighbors. Sometimes we borrow tools from each other. It’s a good community. We start early in the morning and keep going until the work is done. It’s a simple, hardworking life. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to keep the machines running and the customers coming back. It’s just us doing what we know how to do.
