Charanjit Mechanical Works

You can find us at Shop No. 8 on Street No. 5 in Bajwa Nagar. It’s right off Sekhowal Road, so there’s always a lot of activity around here with trucks and deliveries coming through. We do a lot of mechanical stuff, mostly focusing on repairs and making parts when something breaks down in a factory or a workshop nearby. The shop isn't very large, but we’ve packed it with the lathes and drills we need to get things done. It smells like cutting oil and metal shavings most of the time. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because it would just get covered in dust anyway. Our regulars know us well; they bring in a part that’s worn out and ask if we can fix it or make a new one that matches. We take our time to measure everything properly because even a tiny bit off can ruin the whole thing. It’s noisy work, especially when the big machines are running at the same time. Sometimes we stay late when a customer has a machine down and they’re losing money every hour. We just grab a tea from the stall nearby and keep going. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s honest work and we’ve been doing it for years in this same street. People trust us to be fair and get the job finished without any fuss or complicated talk.
