Chawla Vegetarian Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlour

You can find us right on G T Road in Ludhiana, not far from the Clock Tower. That’s a very old part of the city, so it’s always crowded with traffic and people walking everywhere. We have a bit of a mix here because we do vegetarian meals and also have an ice cream parlour. It makes for an interesting day. In the afternoons, people come in for a proper meal, and then in the evenings, we get a lot of families or kids just looking for a scoop of ice cream. The 141003 area is pretty hectic, and we are right in the middle of it. Our shop isn't some high-end lounge. It’s a regular place where you can sit down and have something to eat without any fuss. The staff spends a lot of time cleaning the ice cream counters and prepping the vegetables. It’s a lot of work to keep two different sides of the business running at once. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just open the doors and start the day. Sometimes the fridge for the ice cream acts up or the street outside is blocked for a parade, but we just deal with it. It’s been our spot for a while, and we’re used to the noise of G T Road. It’s an honest way to make a living and keep the locals fed.
