You can find us at Plot No.E-172 in the E Block of Transport Nagar. It’s right off Kanpur Road, which as most people know, is a very busy and loud stretch of road. One of the landmarks people use to find us is the Shiv Mandir nearby. Sometimes you can hear the temple bells over the sound of the transport trucks if the wind is right. Being in Transport Nagar means there is always a lot of movement and noise. Diesel engines idling and drivers shouting to each other are the usual sounds of our morning routine. We deal with ceramics here. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the crates don’t crack during the move. The warehouse floor is hard concrete and can be tough on the feet. We spend most of our time between the desk and the loading area. It gets quite dusty with all the traffic coming in and out of the block. We have a small crew and we’ve worked together for a good bit of time. We don't have fancy air conditioning in the main area, so we rely on the ceiling fans when the Kanpur heat gets heavy. The office is just a small place to keep the ledgers and have a quick cup of chai. People come by to pick up orders or just to ask about the latest prices. We try to keep things simple and honest. It’s a hardworking part of town, and we fit right in with the others.
