Shukla Olympic Marble

Shukla Olympic Marble is located right here in Sec 10, over at Cp-3 along the Ring Road in Vikas Nagar. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of all the traffic coming off the main road, so there’s always a bit of noise in the background while we work. We spend our days surrounded by these heavy slabs of marble, moving them with the crane or just by hand when we have to. The air in the warehouse usually smells like wet stone and iron. We try to keep the place tidy, but when you’re cutting and polishing all day, the dust just finds its way into every corner. It’s a practical setup we’ve got. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a what you see is what you get kind of yard. Most of the time, you’ll find one of us sitting by the entrance with a cup of tea, waiting for the next delivery to pull in from the Ring Road. Vikas Nagar has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed put at this address. People stop by because they’re passing through or because they live nearby and saw our stacks from the road. We just handle the stone, talk to the drivers, and make sure the orders get loaded up without any cracks. It’s hard work on the back, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over the bypass.
