Raj Marble

We are set up at Shiv Swami Bhawan, right by the Khurram Nagar area near the Ring Road crossing. It’s a really busy part of town, especially during rush hour when everyone is trying to get through the intersection. Our shop is where we keep all the marble stock. It’s a lot of physical work, moving those heavy pieces around, but we’ve been doing it long enough that we have a system. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of rules; we just open the doors in the morning and see who comes by. Most of our customers are from the surrounding neighborhoods who are fixing up their kitchens or bathrooms. We spend a lot of time showing people the different patterns in the stone because no two pieces ever look the same. The Ring Road traffic can be loud, but you get used to it after a week or so. Our space isn't perfectly polished, and there are always scraps of stone sitting in the corners. We try to keep things organized so we can find what a customer needs without too much fuss. It’s just a local business where we know most of the people who walk in. We don't do fancy pitches. We just show you what we have on the floor and tell you the price. That’s how we like to run things here.
