Out at No. 72 in Shushant Golf City, you’ll find Greentech Bricks & Blocks Pvt. Ltd. It is a bit of a different vibe out here compared to the more crowded industrial zones. We have a decent amount of room to stack our bricks and blocks. Most of our work involves managing the production and the storage of these building materials. It’s a very physical job. We are always outside or in the sheds, checking the quality of the blocks and making sure they are drying right or stacked safely. The sun can be quite hot out here in the open, so we try to get the heaviest work done early in the morning. People often ask about the "Greentech" part of the name, and we just tell them about how the bricks are made differently than the old red ones. It’s a lot of grit and manual labor. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If someone comes by, they usually just find us near the stacks. We have a small cabin for the paperwork, but it’s mostly just a place to keep the computer out of the dust. Shushant Golf City is growing, so we see a lot of construction happening around us, which keeps things interesting. We just keep making our blocks and sending them out on the trucks. It’s a solid, honest day’s work. There’s a lot of dust involved in making blocks, so we usually go home covered in a fine grey layer.
