Anshu Brick

Up here in Kapoorthala, right near the Sahara Tower, things stay pretty moving. Anshu Brick is basically just a place where we get the work done. The tower is a good landmark because people sometimes get lost looking for the yard. We have been working with bricks for a long time. It is repetitive work, stacking and unstacking, but it’s what we know. The sun can be brutal in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy loading finished by midday if the schedule allows. Sometimes the bricks have a few chips or the color isn't perfectly uniform, but that's what happens when you're dealing with raw materials and fire. We aren't trying to pretend to be a big fancy corporation. We are just local guys. When someone comes in, they usually just talk to whoever is closest to the gate. We keep our records in a simple ledger, nothing too high-tech. If the weather is bad, things slow down a lot because the ground gets soft, and the trucks can’t get in easily. We spend those days doing maintenance or just catching up on things we missed during the busy rush. It’s a basic life, but we like being part of the neighborhood. People know they can find us here most days, just working through the piles and making sure orders get where they need to go. We've seen a lot of houses built with these bricks over the years.
