Hammad Brickfields

Hammad Brickfields is located right on the Sultanpur Main Road in Arjunganj. If you know where the Walmart is, we are just a short distance from there. Being so close to the main road means we see a lot of traffic every single day. The noise of the cars and trucks is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We have a fairly large area where we keep the bricks piled up in rows. Most days, I’m out there checking the kilns or talking to the drivers who come in to pick up loads for building sites around Sultanpur. It’s a busy spot. We don't put on any airs here; it’s a grit-and-grime type of business. The ground is usually covered in red dust, and we wear old clothes because everything gets stained pretty fast. We’ve seen Arjunganj change a lot since we first started. There are more buildings now and more people moving into the area. We just keep our heads down and keep the production going. Sometimes we run out of space to store everything, so we have to organize the stacks better to fit more in. It’s a lot of physical work, moving thousands of bricks by hand or with the small trolley. We don't have a big sales team. If someone needs bricks, they usually just pull off the main road and come talk to us directly at the gate. We are just local people working hard in the dust.
