Lakhmani Brick Field

You can find our office at 74/38 in the LDA Colony, which is right off the main Kanpur Road. We are situated pretty close to Parag Chauraha, which is a very busy intersection that most people in this part of the city are familiar with. Running a brick field involves a whole lot of back and forth between the site and this office. We spend a lot of our time here handling the scheduling and talking to folks who happen to stop by. The office itself is not very large, but it has plenty of space for our files and the phone. It can get pretty noisy because of all the trucks and cars on Kanpur Road, but you eventually stop noticing the sound after a few years. We have watched the LDA Colony grow up around us, with more houses and shops opening every year. Our work is very straightforward and we do not try to make it sound more complicated than it is. We manage the production and try to make sure the bricks get to the builders on time. There is no marketing department here, just us answering the phones and writing down the orders on whatever paper is handy. On some days it gets very hectic, especially when the weather is good for building. We usually have a cup of tea in the late afternoon and look over the books. It is just a regular, practical business.
