Hungers Street

Hungers Street is over in Indira Nagar in Lucknow. We are in C block, specifically right near the Hanuman mandir. It’s a good spot because the temple brings a lot of people to the area, so there’s always something happening outside our door. The shop itself is pretty modest. We have a front counter and a few places to sit, but a lot of people just grab their stuff and head home. We’ve been here through the heat and the rain, just keeping the doors open for whoever walks in. It gets pretty crowded on Tuesdays because of the temple, and those days are usually a bit of a scramble for us. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to close down and do it yet. It’s just a regular street-side place. We don't have a big staff, just enough of us to handle the cooking and the cleaning. Lucknow has so many places to eat, so we just focus on doing our own thing here in C block. The traffic on the main road can be a headache sometimes, but being tucked away near the mandir makes it a little better. We just try to keep the kitchen moving and make sure the floors are swept. It’s simple work, and we are just glad to be part of the neighborhood.
