Food Funda

If you go down Kila Road in Ashiana Colony, you will see us. We are Food Funda, located right in Sector K. Being opposite the CNG Petrol Pump means we get a lot of people stopping in while they wait for their tanks to fill up. It is a good spot for a business like ours. Lucknow weather can be unpredictable, so some days we are dealing with dust storms and other days it is just heavy rain. Inside, it is just a regular kitchen and some tables. We don’t have a manager in a suit or a front desk. One of us is usually by the stove and another is handling the cash. We’ve been here long enough that we know the names of the people who live in the colony. It is a lot of repetitive work, like making sure the supplies are fresh and the bins are emptied. We don't have a big mission or anything. We just want to make sure the food is ready when someone walks in hungry. Kila Road stays busy until late, so we are often here after the sun goes down, just cleaning up and getting ready for the next morning. It is a decent way to spend the day. We stay focused on the work and don’t worry about much else. There are always boxes to move and a counter to wipe down, but that is the reality of running a small place.
