Bhatkheda Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Bhatkheda Agro is based out of the village of Bhatkheda in the Latur district. We work from House Number 71, which belongs to Vinayak Malikarjun Mumane. It’s a small operation run by local farmers who have lived here their whole lives. We started this producer company because we wanted to have a better way to manage our crops and get them to market. Latur is known for its agriculture, but it can be a hard place to farm sometimes because of the weather. We spend our days discussing what to plant and how to share resources like equipment. Our meetings aren't formal; we just sit in the house or under a tree and figure things out. There’s no big corporation behind us, just a group of neighbors trying to make things work. We don't have any polished brochures or mission statements. We just care about the soil and the harvest. It’s a lot of physical labor and then a lot of talking. Sometimes we disagree on how to do things, but we always find a way through it. The office at House 71 is where the records live, but the real work happens out on the land. We are just trying to keep our farming traditions going while making sure we don't get left behind. It’s honest, everyday work for all of us here in Bhatkheda. We take things as they come and hope for a good season.
