You can find us near the Maidan in Latur. Balaji Vinyakrao Birajdar is the one who handles a lot of the work from the Gandhi area. We’ve been around for a bit now, focusing on the agriculture that keeps this district running. Latur is known for its farming, but that doesn't mean it's easy. We formed this producer company to give ourselves a better chance at surviving the ups and downs of the market. It’s mostly just us local people. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation with offices in the big cities. We stay right here where the crops are grown. Our days are filled with checking on the fields and making sure the paperwork for the group is in order. It can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but it's worth it to see the farmers getting a bit more for their hard work. We don't have any polished sales pitches. We just tell it like it is. If the crop is good, we're happy. If the rain fails, we worry together. It’s a very human way of doing business. We meet up, share some news, and try to plan for the next month. It’s a community effort through and through. We just want to keep things going and support the families around Latur who depend on the land for their daily bread. It’s a tough job but we do it together.
