Shri Gyandeep High School

Shri Gyandeep High School is located in Lodai, which is a bit of a distance out in Bhuj. We’ve been here serving the local families for quite some time now. The school building is simple, nothing too fancy, but it does the job for the kids coming in from the surrounding villages. Most of our day is spent making sure the classrooms are ready and that the students are actually sitting down with their books. Bhuj has that 370001 zip code, and being in Lodai means we get a lot of fresh air compared to the city center. We have a playground that’s mostly dirt, but the kids don’t seem to mind when they’re playing cricket or just running around during the recess. The teachers here live nearby, so everyone knows each other’s names. It feels more like a community than a big institution. We have our fair share of dusty days when the wind blows through, but we just sweep it out and keep going. Parents often stop by to talk about their kids' progress, and we usually just sit out on the porch area to have those chats. There isn't a lot of high-tech stuff here, just desks, blackboards, and books. We focus on the basics of what a high school should be. It’s a quiet life in Lodai, and we like it that way. Just a local school doing what it can for the neighborhood kids every single day.
