Kairali Higher Secondary School

Located at Plot 151 and 152 in Lilashah Nagar, our school is a big part of life here in Gandhidham. We are tucked away in Sector 12 C, which is a bit of a walk from the main commercial bits, but everyone knows the way. The climate here in Kutch can be pretty harsh, very hot and dusty, so we spend a lot of time keeping the place clean and making sure the fans are working. Kairali is a place where we don’t put on many airs. The building is functional, mostly concrete and paint that’s seen better days, but it serves its purpose well. We have students coming from all sorts of families around Gandhidham. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with notebooks and lunch boxes, and there's always a bit of a queue at the office window. We focus on the curriculum and getting the kids through their higher secondary exams. It’s hard work, and the days are long. Sometimes we have events in the courtyard where we put up a temporary stage, but mostly it’s just the daily grind of teaching and learning. We’ve been here for years, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. It’s just a normal school doing its job for the community.
