Doon Public School

Doon Public School is situated on Gangeshwar Mahadev Road in Bhuj. The address is Rs No 64/P if you are trying to find it on a map. Bhuj can be a very dry and dusty place, especially with the wind blowing off the surrounding plains, but we keep the school as tidy as we can. We have been operating here for a while, serving the families in this part of town. The school day starts pretty early to beat the worst of the heat. You will see the yellow buses pulling in and parents dropping off their children on scooters. Inside, the rooms are fairly standard. We have enough space for the kids to sit comfortably and the teachers have their desks at the front. It is not a silent place; there is always the hum of voices and the scraping of chairs. We follow the regular curriculum and have the usual exams and sports days. The staff room is often full of teachers grading papers and drinking tea during their breaks. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or big advertisements. Most of our students come to us because we are a steady presence in the neighborhood. When the school bell rings at the end of the day, there is a big rush for the gates. It is a very normal, everyday kind of school life here. We just try to keep things running smoothly so the kids can learn what they need for the future.
