Delhi Public School

This school is situated at the Bhimani Khadi Gramoudyog Sangh in the Gokulvas area of Mandvi. It is quite a long way from the bigger cities, so we are one of the main options for people living around the 370465 pin code. The building is large enough to hold all the different classes, and we have a good amount of open space around us. It’s not as polished as some of the other schools you might see in the brochures. The wind blows a lot of sand in because we are fairly close to the desert and the sea in Kutch. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy. The classrooms have the usual desks and chairs, and we have a small area for sports and morning assembly. Most of the staff and the kids are from the surrounding villages. We don't have a big bus fleet, so many children come in shared autos or their parents drop them off. Life here follows a simple routine from Monday to Saturday. We don't use any flashy teaching methods, just the books and the teachers explaining things on the board. Sometimes we have small events for national holidays, but mostly we just stick to the schedule. It’s just a regular school trying to provide a place for kids in this part of Gujarat to study. We don’t have a big office or a PR team to help us out.
