St. Ephrem Seminary Public School

Our school is located on Matathil Road here in Kothamangalam. It’s a fairly quiet area, which makes it a good spot for a school like St. Ephrem Seminary Public School. The building has been here for a good while, and most people in town know where it is. We have a decent-sized gate and a bit of a walk up to the main doors. Inside, it’s mostly just classrooms and hallways that get pretty busy during the class changes. The teachers here have been working with the local families for years. We don’t really go in for anything too fancy. The desks are simple, and the walls are painted a plain color, maybe with a few maps or student projects hanging up. There is a playground area where the kids spend their time when they aren't in class. It’s usually dusty or muddy depending on the season, but nobody seems to mind much. We just focus on getting through the curriculum and making sure the kids are doing their work. You’ll often hear the bell ringing throughout the day, marking the time. It’s a regular part of life on Matathil Road. We see the same faces every day, and it feels like everyone knows everyone else. It’s just a practical, local school where we try to do our best with what we have and keep things moving along steadily. The routine is what keeps us going through the year.
