Himaharsham Montessori School

We are over in the Manganam area of Kottayam, inside the Thekkethuruthel Building. It is a Montessori school, so we do things a bit differently with the little ones. The space is set up so they can move around and pick up things that interest them. It is not like a traditional classroom with rows of desks. We have lots of wooden toys and learning materials spread out. The building itself is easy to find once you are in Manganam. It is a pretty quiet neighborhood, which is good for the kids. We do not have a massive staff, just a few of us who really like working with children. We spend our days watching them figure things out for themselves. It is a lot of work, but it is rewarding to see them get excited about a new task. We do not put out big ads or anything like that. Most parents hear about Himaharsham from other families in Kottayam. We keep the place tidy and make sure it is a safe environment for the toddlers and young kids. It feels more like a home than a school sometimes. We just focus on the children and their daily activities without worrying about being polished or corporate. It is just us doing what we do. The office is really just a desk in the corner of one of the rooms. We do not need much more than that to keep things running.
