St.Philomenas Public School

St.Philomenas Public School is tucked away in Elanji, which is a bit of a distance from the main hub of Muvattupuzha but still part of the Ernakulam district. It is a quiet area surrounded by a lot of greenery. The school has been part of the Elanji community for quite some time, and many local families depend on us for their children's schooling. It's a place where you can still hear the birds in the morning because we are away from the heavy city noise. The school building is large enough to accommodate the students from the surrounding villages. Most of the kids come by the school bus or their parents drop them off on scooters. We have a regular routine that hasn't changed much over the years. The staff knows the parents by name, and there is a sense of being in a small town where everyone looks out for each other. Muvattupuzha is the nearest big town, so for any major needs, that’s where people go, but for daily life, everything happens right here in Elanji. We have our assembly in the courtyard and the usual classrooms. It is not a place of luxury, just a solid building where kids come to spend their day and learn what they need to. It’s a peaceful spot to go to school every morning. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily tasks of running the school.
