We are based at 1 B Gumanpura. My father started this business many years ago and now we just keep it running together as a family. The shop is not very large and we have things tucked into every corner and shelf we can find. Gumanpura is almost always crowded with people and scooters, so finding a place to park can be a real headache for anyone coming to visit. We have lived and worked in this area for a long time. Most people know our name just because we have been sitting in this same spot for decades. We usually open up quite early and stay until the sun goes down. It is just the way we were taught to work. We don't really do any advertisements or have a fancy sign. Most folks just walk in because they saw the old board outside or a neighbor told them to stop by. We have a couple of old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for when people want to sit and talk. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit out front on the steps for a bit. It’s a quiet and honest way to earn a living. We still handle most of our bills and notes by hand. It feels more real and manageable that way. We aren't trying to grow into some giant corporation. We just want to do a decent job for the people who walk through our door.
