Woman Food Service & Catering is basically just a few of us working out of 123/1, Kali Charan Ghosh Road. We spend most of our mornings getting everything ready for the day’s orders. It isn't a big fancy operation or anything like that. We just focus on the cooking. Sometimes the kitchen gets pretty crowded when there's a big event coming up, but we manage to get things done. Most of the people around Kali Charan Ghosh Road know where we are because of the smells drifting out the door. We started this because we liked being in the kitchen and figured we could make a living out of it. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot and we have the stoves going all day long. We don't really have a big office or a front desk. Most people just call us or drop by the address to talk about what they need for their party or gathering. We write everything down in a notebook and try to keep track of the dates. Sometimes we run out of ingredients and someone has to run to the market quickly. It’s a bit chaotic but it works for us. We've been at 123/1 for a while now and the neighbors are used to the delivery vans coming and going. That's pretty much all there is to it. We just cook the food and make sure it gets to where it needs to go on time.
