Our building is one of those traditional ones with thick walls and high ceilings. It stays relatively cool even when the humidity is high outside during the monsoon. We are tucked away from the main noise of the busy city, but you can still hear the distant honking of yellow taxis. The office is a bit cramped because we have collected so many files from over the years. We have a few old wooden desks and chairs that have been used by many people before us. There is no big sign outside, just the number 16 B on the gate. We do our work here without making a big deal out of it. The tea around here is good, usually brought in from the little stall at the corner in clay cups. We spend our days checking figures and talking to people on the phone about orders. Sometimes the mail takes a while to arrive through the narrow lanes, but we are used to the local pace. It is a very traditional way of working. We do not use any fancy corporate talk because we are just regular people keeping things running. It is a steady job for us.
