Adhunik Group Of Industries operates out of Santiban Plaza over on Umakanta Sen Lane. We are in unit 401 of the Belashese building. Kolkata 700 030 is a busy area to be in, and this part of the city always has something going on. Finding a parking spot near number 7 can be a bit of a headache some mornings, so most of us just take the bus or walk from the main road. The plaza has a few different businesses, but we’ve carved out our own little corner on the fourth floor. It’s not a huge office, but there’s enough room for the desks and the piles of files we seem to collect. The windows look out over the street, which is nice when you need a break from the computer screen. We spend a lot of time on the phone or responding to mail. It’s just the usual office routine, really. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic downstairs, but you get used to it after a week or two. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the afternoon heat. Being in Kolkata means the humidity is usually high, so the ceiling fans stay on all day long. It is a straightforward place where we get the jobs done. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. Just the basics to keep things running. We like the neighborhood because there are plenty of places to grab a quick lunch.
