A.T. Metal Work

A.T. Metal Work is located down at 32/1, D.N. Ghosh Road. It’s over in the Budge Budge area, which has its own rhythm, you know? The road is often tight with lorries and people going about their business, and our shop is tucked right into the middle of it. We have been working with metal here for a long time. It’s not a large operation, just a handful of us who know how to handle the tools. The air inside always smells a bit like iron and oil. We do various types of metalwork, from cutting to basic shaping, depending on what the customer needs that week. There is no big sign out front or anything like that. People usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them we could handle a specific part. The floor is concrete and has plenty of cracks from years of heavy stuff being dropped on it. We usually have the radio playing some local station to pass the time while we work. Lunch is often just something quick from the stall down the street. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just take the orders, do the cutting and the joining, and try to get it finished by the time we promised. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy.
