We are located on the 22nd floor of the Chatterjee International Centre at 33A J L Nehru Road. It’s one of those big buildings where you spend a lot of time just waiting for the lift to arrive. We work with steel products, so the office is always full of heavy folders, grade charts, and technical specs. Even though we are high up, we don't spend much time looking at the view. There’s always too much paperwork to get through. We aren't a high-tech outfit. We still use a lot of paper ledgers and landline phones. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it’s how we’ve always operated. The office can get a bit stuffy, especially when the air conditioning is struggling, but we just open the door and keep working. We don't have a big marketing department or any of those corporate slogans. We just deal with the factories and the clients, trying to make sure the steel gets where it needs to go on time. The tea lady comes around twice a day, which is the highlight of the morning and afternoon for most of us. We have a lot of long-standing relationships in the industry, and most of our business is done through those old connections we’ve built. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s steady work. We just show up every day and do our part in the steel business without any extra noise or complications.
