A. P. Steels

You can find A. P. Steels at 12C Madan Chatterjee Lane. We are right on the ground floor, which makes things easier for moving stuff in and out. The lane is one of those old parts of town where everything is a bit tight and busy. It’s been our home for a good long time. The building is old, with thick walls that stay somewhat cool even when it’s hot outside. Inside, it’s mostly about the metal. We’ve got stacks of things here and there, and the floor is usually covered in a bit of dust. That’s just how it is when you’re dealing with steel all day. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come by, you’ll just see us in our work clothes doing what needs to be done. The morning usually starts with a lot of clanging and moving things around to make space for the day’s work. It’s a noisy environment, but we’re used to it. We don't talk much about visions or anything like that. We just look at the orders and start cutting or moving. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or ask for a small favor. It’s that kind of place. We’ve been here so long the bricks probably know our names. We just keep at it, day after day.
