Utsab Caterer

Utsab Caterer is located over at 3, Prafulla Nagar, right by Dum Dum Road in the Motijhil area. We’ve been set up here for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a crowded spot, but that’s Dum Dum for you. Our daily routine starts early in the morning when the supplies arrive. We handle all sorts of local events, mostly weddings or family get-togethers where people need a lot of food without too much fuss. I handle a lot of the cooking myself along with a small crew of guys who have been with me for years. We aren't some corporate chain with a manual for everything. We just know how to cook the stuff people like to eat around here. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to actually sit down for a tea. The kitchen can get pretty warm, especially during the summer months, but we keep moving. People know us by name in Motijheel. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our work comes from someone who ate our food at a cousin's wedding and liked it enough to ask for a card. Being near Motijheel means we get a lot of local foot traffic too. We keep our pots busy and our knives sharp. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day. We just try to do right by the people who trust us with their dinners.
