We’ve been here at 152 B.K. Paul Avenue for a while now. It’s a busy spot in Kolkata, and you can always hear the city moving outside. Utkarsh Galva Ltd. isn’t some fancy glass building; it’s where we handle the galvanizing work and get things done. Most mornings start with checking the stock and seeing what the trucks brought in. We deal with a lot of metal, so things get a bit loud and dusty, but that’s just how the job goes. Our team is mostly local guys who know the area well. Sometimes the rain makes the street a mess, but we still manage to keep the paperwork moving and the orders sorted. It’s a lot of coordination between the back office and the floor. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty. The focus is usually on the schedules and making sure the loads are ready when the drivers show up. Dealing with steel and zinc isn't always easy, and the heat in summer can be something else entirely. We have our tea breaks, talk about the traffic on the avenue, and then get back to it. It’s a straightforward kind of place. People know where to find us if they need to talk about a project or check on a delivery. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our daily routine stays pretty much the same. It’s just work, day in and day out.
