Tripti R Ahaar

At Tripti R Ahaar, we spend most of our time in the kitchen at 63/2, Lake East 6Th Road. We are right by the Santoshpur Mini Bus Stand, so there’s always a lot of movement outside our door. It’s a good place for a food business because people are always passing through. We focus mostly on traditional meals and making sure everything tastes like it should. We don't use any pre-made stuff if we can help it. Everything is done by hand, from the spice pastes to the cleaning of the fish or meat. The space is a bit tight, but we’ve organized it so we can work efficiently even when we are in a hurry. Being near the bus stand means we have to be quick. We started small and stayed that way because it's easier to keep an eye on everything. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that people in Santoshpur like a good meal. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the water supply is a bit slow, but these are just the usual problems we deal with. We are just regular people who know how to cook for large groups. Every day is a bit different depending on what people have ordered. We just take it as it comes and try to keep our kitchen running smoothly for the neighborhood. It's just a normal way of making a living for us.
