Sliz Bags

If you head over to Block C on Ghulam Jilani Khan Road, you’ll find us on the 1st floor at No. A/1. This is where Sliz Bags is located. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially when we are carrying heavy materials or finished bags. The workspace is filled with the smell of leather and synthetic fabrics. We have different stations for cutting, stitching, and putting on zippers. It’s a tight fit sometimes with all the inventory, but we make it work. The 1st floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, but we don't usually have time to look out the window. Ghulam Jilani Khan Road is always bustling, and the noise of the traffic comes right through the glass. We started this because we knew how to put a good bag together. We aren't designers with big studios. We are just people who know how to use a heavy-duty sewing machine. Sometimes the thread tangles or a needle breaks, and we have to pause and fix things. It’s not a perfect process. Our desks are covered in scraps and patterns drawn on old paper. We spend our days checking that the bags are put together right before they leave the shop. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. People mostly just find us because we’ve been at No. A/1 for a while and they know we’re here. It gets tiring by the end of the week, but we come back every Monday.
