The Diners Caterers

Our kitchen is located at 146, S P Mukherjee Road, which is right near the Rashbehari Crossing. If you know that area, you know how hectic it gets with the trams and the crowds. Inside, it’s usually just as busy with the sound of knives on boards and the smell of whatever is cooking for the day’s event. The Diners Caterers started out small and we’ve mostly stayed that way, focusing on getting the food packed into those big silver containers. We don't have a fancy office with a receptionist. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on an apron to pick up the phone when it rings. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading vans at odd hours of the night. It’s hard work, and your back definitely feels it after a long wedding season. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to make sure the rice is cooked right and the delivery reaches the venue before the guests do. Sometimes we forget to update the calendar or the tea gets cold because we're too busy with a large order. That’s just how it goes here. It’s a real place with real people who get tired but keep showing up anyway. We like the neighborhood and the people we see every day around the crossing, and we wouldn't want to be based anywhere else but here.
