Tanias Ladies Beauty Parlour

Tanias Ladies Beauty Parlour is inside A 1 Mahalaxmi Apartment at Sukanta Park. It is near the VIP Road in Kolkata, which is always busy with cars and buses. Since we are in an apartment building, it feels a bit more private than a shop right on the main street. Ladies from the building and the nearby houses come here for their hair and skin needs. We have a couple of chairs and a big mirror with some lights around it. We do a lot of haircuts, waxing, and bridal makeup when it is the season for weddings. The room is usually filled with the sound of hair dryers and people chatting about their day. We keep our rollers and brushes in plastic bins on the shelves. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, so we have to manage with what we have. It’s not a huge place, but it works for us and our regulars. Most of the people who come here have been doing so for years. They know where we are tucked away in Sukanta Park. We have a small curtain for privacy when we are doing certain treatments. It’s just a local spot for the women around here to get ready for an event or just feel a bit better. We don't have a big staff, so we just take people as they come or when they call ahead.
