Aomeo Saloon

Aomeo Saloon is on the ground floor over in Ghosh Para, Kolkata. We are tucked away near Milan Bazar, which is a busy spot for the locals. Being in the 700102 area code, we get a lot of people who live right in the neighborhood. The shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. There are a couple of chairs for cutting hair and a big mirror that’s seen better days. We keep the floor swept, but with people coming in and out from the dusty street, it’s a constant battle. The sounds of the bazaar are always in the background, which is nice in a way. It makes the day go by faster. We opened here because Ghosh Para is a lively place and there’s always someone needing a shave or a haircut. We don't have a fancy website or a booking system. People just walk in, see if a chair is free, and wait their turn if we are busy. Sometimes we have the radio playing some local music to keep things cheerful. It’s a humble place, honestly. We focus on the work and try to keep our customers happy so they come back next month. There’s a certain rhythm to life here in Kolkata, and we are just glad to be a small part of this local community near Milan Bazar.
