We’re located at 47, Ezra Street, right behind the Tea Board. This part of the Calcutta GPO area is always bustling with people buying and selling all kinds of electrical stuff. Our office is tucked into one of the older buildings on the street. You have to walk through a narrow entrance to get to our door. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a couple of heavy desks that have seen better days. We’ve been here long enough that we know every crack in the floor tiles. The walls are covered with old maps and a few calendars from years ago that nobody ever bothered to take down. We handle a lot of express deliveries, so there’s a lot of rushing around in the mornings when the first batches arrive. We use a lot of rubber bands and brown paper to keep things together. The air inside is usually a bit still, so we keep the windows open, even if the noise from the street is loud. You can hear the tea being poured at the stall outside and the sound of bells from the passing rickshaws. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have worked together for a long time. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes for their snacks. It’s a comfortable place to work, even when it’s busy. We just take it one parcel at a time.
