We are based in Dalhousie. Proline Shipping Services Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this area for a good while. Dalhousie is full of old buildings and history, and our office fits right in. It’s mostly just desks and phones. We handle shipping logistics. That means a lot of coordination with ports and truck drivers. The office gets busy around midday. We have stacks of bills of lading and customs forms everywhere. It’s not a very pretty place, but it gets the job done. We drink tea from the vendor on the corner. The windows are high and let in some light, but the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. We don't worry about that too much. Most of our day is spent making sure cargo moves from point A to point B without getting stuck. Sometimes there are delays at the dock, and then the phones don’t stop ringing. It’s stressful but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years. We aren't a huge multinational corporation. We are just a local team that knows the shipping routes. We know how the local systems work and who to call when things go sideways. It’s just a regular office life in a busy part of the city. We leave the fancy stuff to the big firms and just focus on our clients. Shipping is a messy business, but we like it.
