You’ll find us at Mcleod House on N.S. Road. It’s one of those old buildings in the heart of the business district. Being at number 3 means we are right in the thick of things. The building has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the high ceilings and the old wooden doors. It’s not like a modern glass office. Sometimes the lifts are temperamental, so we end up taking the stairs. Our office is a bit cluttered with folders and ledgers. We’ve been operating from this spot for a very long time. The street outside is always packed with people, hawkers, and yellow taxis. It’s a very noisy part of town, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We aren't big on modern decor. Most of our furniture is older than some of our staff. We just come in and get to work on our daily tasks. It’s a steady kind of place. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just handle the business that comes in. Some days are slow, and we spend time drinking tea and talking. Other days, it’s a rush to get everything finished before the sun goes down. It’s a bit dusty, and the papers are piled high, but we know where everything is. It’s just how we’ve always done things here at Blacker & Co.
