Suraj Industries.

We’re up on the first floor at 22 Strand Road. It’s an old building and you have to walk up the stairs, which can be a bit much if you’re carrying things. Suraj Industries has been operating from this spot for a long time. The street outside is always full of trucks and people moving goods back and forth. It gets quite noisy during the day but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We mostly deal with industrial parts and supplies. The office isn't very big and there are papers everywhere, mostly invoices and delivery notes. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on orders. It’s a bit dusty because of all the activity on the road, but we try to keep our workspace organized enough to get things done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit and we just wait it out. It’s just part of working in this area. We don’t really have a big team, just a few of us who know how everything works. We drink a lot of tea while we go through the inventory lists. It’s a basic setup. We focus on getting the right items out to the people who need them. There’s no lobby or anything like that. You just come up the stairs and you’ll see our door. It's a bit of a climb but we're here every day from nine until six or so. It's work, but it's what we know.
