Chanakya Granites

If you drive out to Bommasandra Village, you’ll find us at No. 139. We are right near those Venkateshwara Concrete Blocks, so that’s a good landmark if you’re looking to find the yard. Anekal Taluk is a bit out of the way for some folks, but for granite, you really need the space to lay things out. Chanakya Granites is basically just a big yard with lots of stone and a few sheds. It gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the open lots and the trucks drive by. We spend our days moving heavy slabs around and talking to contractors who need specific pieces for their projects. It is heavy work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. There’s no fancy showroom here with air conditioning or soft chairs. It’s just the stone and the tools we use to move it. People come by and walk through the rows of granite to see what we have in stock. Sometimes we have a lot, sometimes the yard looks a bit empty while we wait for more to arrive from the quarries. The post office is nearby too, so there's always a bit of activity on the road. We’ve been in this part of Bommasandra for a while, and most of the neighbors are also doing some kind of construction or material work. It is a practical place for a practical business. We don’t put on any acts; what you see is what you get.
