World Dried Flowers

We operate out of 13, Royd Street, which is a fairly quiet spot compared to some other parts of the city. World Dried Flowers is mostly about storage and careful handling. Since everything is dried, it can be very brittle and prone to breaking if you aren't paying attention. We spend our time packing things into boxes with lots of padding. The air inside the building usually has that dusty, earthy smell of dried grass and petals. It isn't for everyone, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling filled with different varieties. Sometimes the inventory gets a little overwhelming and we have to spend a whole Saturday just reorganizing the back room. We aren't a big operation with lots of staff. It is just a handful of us making sure the stock stays dry and the orders get sent out correctly. The floors are wooden and they creak when you walk between the aisles. We keep the lights a bit low to prevent the colors from fading too much. It’s a slow sort of business. You can't rush when you're dealing with things that might crumble in your hand. Royd Street is a decent place to be, though parking can be a headache for the delivery trucks. We just do our thing and try to keep the dust under control as much as possible. There is always a broom leaning against the wall for that.
