Our shop, Zenith Glasswares & Instruments Corpn., is located at 38/5 Baghbazar Street. If you know this part of North Kolkata, you know the streets are narrow and always full of people. We’ve been in this building for a long time, and it has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We deal with a lot of fragile stuff, so we have to be careful how we move things around. The shelves are packed with all sorts of glass items and instruments, sometimes it feels a bit cramped. We don't have a modern showroom or anything like that. It’s more of an old-school place where you can come in and talk to us directly. We spend a lot of time packing and unpacking crates, making sure nothing breaks. It is a slow process but you can't rush glass. The area around Baghbazar is always noisy with trams and vendors, but inside the shop, we try to keep things orderly. We are just a small team, mostly family and a couple of helpers who have been with us for years. We don't do much advertising; people usually find us through word of mouth or just by walking past on the street. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, year after year, without making much of a fuss about it.
