Srijani Beauty Parlour

You can find Srijani Beauty Parlour over on B T Road in the Isi area, not far from Dunlop. This part of Kolkata is always bustling with cars and buses, but our little shop stays tucked in its spot. We have been here for a long time, watching the neighborhood change around us. The shop itself is quite modest. We have a few stations set up for hair and skin work. We spend a lot of our time standing on our feet, but we are used to it by now. The walls have some old pictures on them, and the shelves are full of the lotions and creams we use daily. Most of our customers are women who have been coming to us for years. They know us by name, and we know about their families too. It is more than just a job; it is where we spend most of our waking hours. When it rains, the sound hits the roof loudly, and we usually offer a seat to anyone trying to stay dry. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just cut hair, do facials, and try to keep the place looking decent. It is a simple life on B T Road. We open up in the morning, do our work as best as we can, and go home when the sun is down and the street lights are on.
