Singh Saloon

Singh Saloon is located on Mall Road over here in Kolkata. We are pretty easy to find since we are right near the Tata Gate area. It is a simple place where men come when they need a trim or a shave. We don't have any of those fancy modern gadgets you might find in a big mall. Instead we have reliable scissors and a steady hand. The shop has been around for a long time and the neighborhood knows us well. You will often see a few people hanging around outside just chatting while they wait for their turn in the chair. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving well enough. The mirrors are old and have a few spots on them but they still show you what you need to see. We don't try to be anything we are not. This is just a basic shop for local people who want a normal haircut without paying too much money for it. Sometimes kids come in for their first haircut and they cry a bit but we manage to get it done. The traffic on Mall Road is always moving fast but inside the saloon things happen at a slower pace. We take our time to make sure the sideburns are even and the neck is clean. It is just the way we have always done things here for our customers who live in this part of Kolkata.
