Shree Sai Foods & Caterers

We’re based at 117, Binapani Mansion on Hem Chandra Mukherjee Road. It’s pretty close to the Kumar Para Rickshaw Stand and the Ram Krishna Mission Math. Having those landmarks makes it easier for people to find us, which is good because the road can get quite busy. Shree Sai Foods & Caterers isn’t a huge operation. We started small and we’ve stayed fairly small. We like it that way because we can keep an eye on everything. The kitchen is usually full of steam and the smell of various spices being roasted. We spend a lot of time cleaning the rice and sorting through vegetables. It’s not glamorous work. Sometimes we’re still packing boxes late into the night. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for a while and people know our face. Our office is just a small corner with a phone and a few chairs for when customers come to visit. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just make food and bring it to where it needs to go. Sometimes we make mistakes, like forgetting a spoon or being five minutes late, but we always try to fix it. It’s just a normal business run by normal people trying to make a living. There is no corporate polish here, just lots of cooking and hard work every day.
