Shashi Exports International

Our office is on the 5th Floor of Pearl Court at 9 Ajudges Court Road. Shashi Exports International has been running from here for some time now. It’s an old building, but it’s got character. We handle a lot of paperwork and coordination for exporting goods. It’s not as exciting as it sounds; mostly it’s just phone calls and emails to shipping agents and suppliers. We have a small team. The office is often full of samples and folders. We don't have a big mahogany boardroom. We just have a few desks and a very old coffee machine that makes a lot of noise. Being on the 5th floor gives us a bit of a view, but mostly we’re looking at the calendars on the wall to check shipping dates. We don’t do big marketing campaigns. Most of our clients have been with us for years through word of mouth. We try to be reliable. If there’s a problem with a shipment, we stay until it’s sorted out. That’s just the way it goes in this business. We are simple people working in a busy city. We keep things honest and we don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s a small operation, but we keep it moving every day. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news when things are quiet. The elevators in Pearl Court are slow, but they get us where we need to be eventually.
