Shalinis Beauty Parlour

Shalinis Beauty Parlour is tucked away in VIP Enclave, Block L. We are in Flat No 003, which is on the ground level. It’s right across from the Big Bazar in Kolkata, so a lot of people drop in after they finish their grocery shopping. Being in a residential block makes it feel a bit more private than a shop on the main road. We’ve been in this flat for a while now. It’s not a huge space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There’s a small waiting area and the stations for hair and skin work. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when the Big Bazar crowds are out, but inside the enclave, it’s usually okay. We see a lot of the same faces every week. People from the other blocks in VIP Enclave often just walk over. We don’t have any fancy decorations, just the basics to get the work done. The lights can be a bit bright, but that’s needed for the work. We keep our supplies on the shelves and try to stay organized, even when it gets busy. It’s a quiet way to earn a living. We know most of our customers by name by now. It’s funny how a small shop in a flat becomes a regular part of the neighborhood. We just open up every morning and wait for the first person to knock.
