Service Engineer Of Apc Ups

My work is mostly centered in the Belgharia area of Kolkata. I’m located at 55 Sarat Pally, which is a quiet enough street most days. I spend my time as a service engineer for APC UPS systems. In Kolkata, the humidity can really do a number on electronics, so I stay quite busy with repairs. My workshop is just a room filled with heavy batteries and half-opened UPS units. I’ve got my multimeter and my soldering iron always ready to go. People from all over the neighborhood bring their power backups to me when they start making that annoying beeping sound. I don't have a big corporate sign or anything like that. It’s just a local spot where I fix things. Sometimes I’m out visiting small offices to check on their setups. Carrying those lead-acid batteries up and down stairs is how I get my exercise for the day. I’ve learned to listen to the machines—often I can tell what’s wrong just by the smell of a burnt capacitor or the sound the fan makes. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s necessary around here. I try to be as straightforward as possible about what needs fixing and what it’s going to cost. No sense in overcomplicating things when someone just wants their computer to stay on during a power cut. It is just me here, making sure the lights stay on for everyone in Sarat Pally.
