Larsen & Toubro Limited

We are over on Joykrishna Pal Road in Kolkata. It’s number 11/6. This area has a bit of a different feel than the very center of the city, but it’s still Kolkata through and through. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular door on a regular street. Inside, we’ve got our desks and a few computers set up. It’s mostly about managing the logistics and the paperwork for various projects from this side of town. The light in the office is a bit dim in the mornings, so we have to keep the overhead lights on all day. It’s a steady kind of place. We don't have a lot of walk-in visitors, so it's usually just the same few of us day in and day out. We talk about the weather or the local football scores while we work. It’s a quiet routine. Sometimes the traffic on Joykrishna Pal Road gets backed up, and you can hear the horns honking, but you get used to it after a week. We’ve got some old wooden chairs that creak a bit, but they’re comfortable enough. It’s just a place where we put in our hours and make sure the records are straight. There’s no big sign or anything flashy. We’re just a small part of the bigger company, tucked away here in West Bengal, doing our bit without making much of a fuss.
